Mr. Tough Guy
Mr. Tough Guy
You may think George Soros is really digging deep into his pockets to cause the former Trump officials who knew him best to seemingly press the panic button and speak out against their former “boss.” It is well known that if you cross “da’ boss” you will be subject to enough bad words, threats, scowls, and slurs to put the worst 6th grade school yard bully to shame. 04/03/2024 00:00

One economist is calling it “the most profitable 22 minutes in Texas history,” according to the Texas Standard. The total solar eclipse on Monday, April 8 is expected to draw up to a million visitors to the Lone Star State, especially in its narrow path of totality. 04/03/2024 00:00

The Possum Cop Chronciles
The laundry can wait I think I need to give my wife a talkin’ to… The other day, I did some laundry. Mind you, it’s no secret around here that, by design, I suck at doing laundry. You see, I learned early on in life that exhibiting a lack of proficiency at a task in the presence of folks who fancy themselves proficient at whatever the task may be will invariably elicit enough sympathy, or frustration, to get them to do it for you. This has been my lifelong approach to the cleaning of my dirty clothes. 04/03/2024 00:00

SERIOUS GUADALUPE RIVER DAMAGE BY DEVELOPER ALMOST UNNOTICED BY MEDIA
SERIOUS GUADALUPE RIVER DAMAGE BY DEVELOPER ALMOST UNNOTICED BY MEDIA
Apparently about several tracts totalling around 400 acres were purchased on Hwy. 1340 across the road from Camp Stewart, by an out of town developer and were being cleared, trees burned and roads built including down into the Guadalupe River. Ron Duke, of the Kerr County Water Alliance (KCWA-contact page on website), reported this major river and land violation to me and others on March 21st. This is a new citizen's group formed to observe and protect our county's water resources. As you know, groundwater (aquifers) and the river comprise the bulk of our Kerr County water supplies and they are connected - groundwater produces the springs, which in turn produce most area creek and river flows. 04/03/2024 00:00
