More than 1,500 people are expected to gather Saturday, July 26, for the annual Back to School Bash at the Lakehills Community Center — a free, family- friendly event offering school supplies, food, music, games, health services and more.
The event runs from 4:30 to 7:30 p.m. at 11225 PR 37 in Lakehills. Shuttle parking will be available at Lakehills United Methodist Church and the Medina Lake Volunteer Fire Department training lot.
Students from Pre-K through 12th grade, including public, private and homeschoolers, can receive backpacks and school supplies, provided they are registered for school in Bandera County.
Students must be present to receive supplies.
School registration will be verified for Bandera ISD, Lumen Christi, Pipe Creek Christian School, Vanguard Christian School and Vineyard of God.
Homeschoolers will receive bags designed with their unique needs in mind, but must show proof of Bandera County residency.
Alongside free physicals and haircuts, children can enjoy a petting zoo, face painting, balloon art, crafts, games, live music and food.
The event is organized by Hill Country Samaritans in partnership with local volunteers and sponsors. More details are available at hillcountrysamaritans.org/
