Abbott demands probe into power outages
More than 2 million Texans lost power when Hurricane Beryl hit the Texas coast, and Gov. Greg Abbott wants to know why. The Austin American-Statesman reported Abbott has ordered the Public Utility Commission to conduct an immediate study into why the Houston area has again been hit by widespread power outages.

Discerning With Your Faith
Right now, in at least the two counties around me, people widely believe women are being sex-trafficked out of busy parking lots in broad daylight with drugs being sprinkled on everything from $20 bills to green tomatoes lying on the ground in a parking lot median.

Harris a Better Candidate? Not so Fast
After President Joe Biden’s string of political liabilities – most visibly captured at the last presidential debate – the Democratic elite are scrambling to determine whether to lock in behind Biden and force the American people to accept it, or shuttle him aside.

Project 2025 Deserves Your Attention
For some folks, the first time they heard about Project 2025 was last week, when Donald Trump announced that he had no idea what it was or who wrote it, except to think it had some ridiculous ideas and he wanted nothing to do with it, though he wished the writers well (!).

Executive Puppet
Several things have become obvious on the political scene last week and troubling to those concerned about the condition of our Constitutional republic.

What’s a Gish Gallop?
Around here in Bandera, the “Cowboy Capitol of the World,” even if you don’t own a horse, you know they “walk, trot, canter, gallop.” But they actually have more gaits. Is Gish Gallop one of ‘em? No, it’s a professional term for a devastating debate technique.

Growing Old is Not for Sissies
There is a massive conglomeration of biases, ignorance, misunderstanding and psychological projection clogging the arteries of our absurdly youth-oriented culture. It’s so bad that we may actually stroke out as a society before we even get to Election Day, much less elect a President who will lead us forward as a nation and be appreciated for doing it.

Fire safety urged for Fourth
With the Fourth of July bringing a possible four-day weekend for lucky Texans, the Texas A&M Forest Service urges outdoor enthusiasts to exercise fire safety outdoors, especially when using fireworks or starting campfires to roast hot dogs and toast marshmallows.

This is not about Donald Trump. It’s not even about the sad souls seduced by him. The insurrectionists who stormed the Capital to prevent the peaceful transfer of power were primarily guilty of being gullible. They merely fell for the big fraud. They did not do the defrauding. Many have been held accountable for their actions. Most of the ones who fooled them have not. Yet.

OUSTANDING COLUMN
I was very impressed by the guest column written by Lawrence Wittner in the recent issue of the Bulletin. He wrote about Donald Trump’s anti-union actions including directing the National Labor Relations Board to undermine workers’ attempts to unionize in order to advocate for themselves.

You’re Never Alone with Christ
When we face a struggle, it can feel like we're alone. We can vent or unload to a friend about what is going on but often be left feeling they just don't understand.

Bad News for Biden
The mainstream media is running with the headline that the latest Fox News poll shows Former President Trump two points behind President Joe Biden – a difference well within the margin of error – but the poll also reveals an edge for Trump on a majority of electoral issues. In addition, a majority of voters say the race in November will be about the issues, not about the candidates, a finding that could significantly favor Trump.

Choose Your Don
(Don – Italian - A powerful Mafia Leader) That clever old dude, President Biden, keeps building on his Republican claimed “crime family” laurels. After pulling off the humongous effort of stealing the 2020 Presidential election, he has now spearheaded the felony conviction of Donald Trump on 34 counts. He did not even need to use the US Justice Department to accomplish this as non-federal Manhattan prosecutors took care of the dirty work.

6 Reasons Why You Should Get Help For Your Mental Health
Many people underestimate the impact that mental illness can have on an individual or family. It can be difficult to admit that you have a mental health problem in your life. Secondly, it can be just as difficult in getting the people you know to understand your situation without making any kinds of judgments.

How Donald Trump Worked to Destroy America’s Labor Unions
Although Donald Trump has been eager to garner support from American labor unions for his re-election campaign, there are lots of reasons he’s not going to get it. Chief among them is his record in sabotaging the nation’s labor movement.

Fair Taxation
The total tax rate on American families is pushing the 50% level. This level of taxation is theft of labor, equivalent to slavery. The charges by the President and his bureaucrats regarding “paying a fair share” of taxes demonstrate that few have any experience in or correct understanding of what business should be about. It is evidence that when bureaucrats see wealth, they go after it.
