REALLY?
Then why this April did he allow a 4-year old with Stage 4 cancer to be deported “without medication” or a way to contact doctors? Trump’s White House says that’s what the mother wanted since she was being deported. Her lawyers say that’s not true.
No way, Jose, do I believe the White House. The Trump administration didn’t have to deport her. It could have waited. She wasn’t a member of a gang. In another case, a 2-year-old, born in America making the child a US citizen, was deported with its mother. And in another case, 2 children, both American citizens, were deported with their mother.
Trump officials say the mothers wanted it that way. Family lawyers say they had no choice.
WESHOULDHAVE EXPECTEDTHIS
Because Trump separated 5,000 kids from their parents at the border during his first administration. The separation roundup was so hasty and negligent; officials didn’t get enough information to easily reunite the children with their parents. Today, 1,400 children haven’t been reunited with their parents and most likely never will be.
TRUMP IS STARVING FOREIGN CHILDREN
This April, the Trump administration ended “lifesaving food aid” for millions in foreign countries, including children. The World Food Program called it a “death sentence.” The US did restore “urgent food aid” to several nations but left out Afghanistan and Yemen, “two of the world’s poorest and war-ravaged countries….”
Without treatment, severe acute malnutrition is a killer. “It is responsible for 1 in 5 deaths of children under the age of five, making it one of the top threats to child survival.” Severe acute malnutrition causes terrible suffering. This short video will show you.
The World Food Program was receiving funds from America’s USAID department. But the Trump Administration “shuttered” it this March, laying off its personal all over the world. According to the Associated Press, multiple court cases are challenging the closures.
TRUMP’S CARE OF AMERICAN BABIES
Again, no way Jose. Raising children is more expensive than ever in the US. Giving a mom $5,000 every time she has a baby, like Trump wants to do, doesn’t put a dent in the cost of raising that child.
Meanwhile, the Republican proposed “skinny” federal budget cuts that Trump seems to support to reduce the national debt, will all but destroy programs aiding American kids in low income families.
Some of the cuts include CHIP, the Children’s Health Insurance Program, SNAP, the Supplemental Nutritional Assistance Program that will affect 40 million people, EITC, the earned income tax credit, CTC, the child tax credit and TANF, Temporary Assistance for Needy Families and Medicaid. “More than 70 million Americans depend on Medicaid. And 42 percent are children.”
Yet, Trump plans to spend $91 million on a parade in Washington D.C. in honor of his birthday on June the 14th and, uh…oh yes…. to honor the founding of America’s military on the same day in 1775.
And before I forget: Trump wants permanent tax cuts for the highest income earners in America that would amount to $4.2 trillion between 2026 and 2035.
