On Wednesday, Sept. 13, the Utopia School hosted a visit from noted astrophysicist Dr. Angela Speck.Dr. Speck was appointed cochair of the National Total Solar Eclipse Task Force and is the department chair of the Physics and Astronomy department of UTSA.Dr. Speck brought three graduate students, Sean Dillon, Michael Preston and Bryan Tobias, to assist with her presentations to all the students, K-12, of Utopia School.The Utopia/Vanderpool area will be at the center of the eclipse viewing corridor of the annular eclipse in October 2023 and the total eclipse in April 2024.After answering a few preliminary questions, Dr. Speck handed ...
