Bandera County Commissioners approved the ratification of the property tax increase as reflected in the 2023-2024 budget in a vote of 4-1 on Sept. 14, with Commissioner Greg Grothues as the dissenting vote.The increase was approved in addition to new tax rates for Maintenance & Operation (M&O), Road & Bridge and Interest & Sinking.According to the proposed budget filed by the Bandera County Clerk on August 15, it will raise more revenue from property taxes than last year’s budget by $1,411,433, which is a 7.76% increase from last year’s budget.The property tax revenue to be raised from new property added ...
