Melissa Dunbar of Center Point was appointed earlier this month by Governor Greg Abbott to serve on the Texas School Safety Center Board.Currently serving as principal of Medina Elementary School, Dunbar received a Bachelor of Arts in English, a Master of Education and principal certification from Schreiner University.According to a release from the governor’s office, the board reports to the Teas School Safety Center Board, the legislature, State Board of Education and Texas Education Agency regarding school safety and security; it also advises the center on its function, budget and strategic planning initiative.“Congrtulations to Ms. Dunbar on being appointed by ...
