Lakehills library plans program on caregivers

Posted in:

A presentation about the services caregivers provide, including home health and hospice services, will be part of a lunch-and-learn session at the Lakehills Area Library on Thursday, Oct. 10, from noon to 2 p.m.

Those in attendance also will have a chance to ask questions of the representatives of the caregiver organizations who will take part in the presentation. Those organizations are Tri-County Health, Visiting Angels and Alamo Hospice.

Lunch will be served at the session.

It will be preceded on Thursday by a meeting of the Lakehills genealogy club. Experienced genealogists will be on hand to help those in attendance explore their family histories in a session set to run from 10 a.m. until noon.

There also will be free access to Ancestry.com for those with a laptop computer or who check out a computer from the library.

Also offered at the library are Storytime activities – songs, games and crafts based on a preschool curriculum – every Wednesday, including Wednesday, Oct. 9 and Oct. 16, beginning at 10:30 a.m. and yoga classes for all ages held every Tuesday at 10:30 a.m.

Participants are encouraged to bring a mat and water to the yoga class.

The library is located at 7200 FM 1283 in Lakehills. Its phone number is 830-510-2777.
