Candidate, activist to address Democrats

Posted in:

Caleb Brock, a recent high school graduate who co-founded Students for Increased Voter Participation, and Joe Herrera, a Democratic candidate for the District 53 state House seat, will meet with the public at the Bandera County Democratic Club’s monthly meeting in Bandera on, Saturday, Oct. 12, at 11 a.m.

The pair are campaigning to energize young and Hispanic voters in Texas, a release from the Democratic Club said.

Herrera, who ran unsuccessfully for the Democratic nomination to the District 53 House seat in 2018, is seeking the nomination again for a seat that currently is held by Rep. Andrew Murr, a Junction Republican.

The district includes Bandera County.

The club meets at the Bandera Electric Cooperative’s headquarters at 3172 Highway 16 North just outside of Bandera. The public is invited to take part in Saturday’s session.

Those needing more information about the meeting or the club are asked to call Eloise Clayton at 210-860-1647.
