With no one but the three incumbents running for three open posts on the Bandera Independent School District board in November, the board of trustees voted to cancel the election at its monthly meeting last week. It’s a routine decision for governmental bodies like the school district to save money and cancel elections when no contests are on the ballot. That’s what the BISD board did at its Sept. 9 meeting.
