COVID-19 infections have not abated this summer but instead surged throughout Texas, and the coronavirus is not respecting county lines or urban and rural differences, officials with UT Health San Antonio said in a news release last week.
At least 40 cases have been documented in Bandera County. Kerr County has seen more than 125 cases, Kendall County nearly 100 and Gillespie County more than 50, the release said.
The coronavirus is being transmitted person to person in many types of settings, and not just in larger cities.
