All adults will be eligible to receive a COVID-19 vaccine in Texas beginning Monday, March 29, according to a release from the Texas Department of State Health Services (DSHS), although DSHS has directed providers to prioritize people 80 years or older.
Bandera Emergency Management Coordinator Carey Reed says her department will not open vaccines up to adults until all of groups 1B and 1C have been vaccinated.
DSHS has directed vaccine providers to prioritize people 80 years old or older when scheduling appointments and accommodate anyone in that age group who presents for vaccination, whether or not they have an appointment,
