Bandera ISD AD talks football

Bandera Independent School District Athletic Director Joel Fontenot-Amedee said he and every other football coach in the state hopes there will be a football season in the fall.

“I know the UIL (University Scholastic League) is committed to having sports this fall, but as of yet, there has been no official word,” he said, adding that everyone is waiting on guidelines for the season from UIL and the Texas Education Agency.

“We have a great group of student athletes training to get better at our strength and conditioning camps. We believe in the process of improvement and controlling the controllable,” said Amedee, who is also head football coach.
