Burial followed at 3:00 p.m. on Friday, November 5, 2021, at Valera Cemetery in Coleman,Texas under the direction of Stevens Funeral Home. Mary was born November 18, 1941, in Millersview, Texas, to Charles Thomas and Theresa Yvette (Corum) Fletcher. She grew up in west Texas where she learned to love horses. She was married to Claude Ross Denson on January 28, 1989. They moved to Bandera where they shared their lives and love of horses. Mary loved horses and fishing, but most of all, she loved her family. Family was the center of her life. She retired from Bandera ISD where she worked as a bus driver and head of the bus barn.

Pastor Kyle Toomire of the Bandera United Methodist Church led a beautiful ceremony and made the heartache a little easier for all who were present.
