Charles “Charlie” Stancil, 68, of Bandera, Texas, passed away in San Antonio on October 15, 2021. He was born March 8,1953, in El Paso, Texas, to Harold Lloyd Stancil, Lt. Col USAF Ret., and Wanda Jean Stancil, Second Lt. USAFR (AFNC).

Charlie spent 22 years as PCCS/SW, Senior Chief, in the United State Navy and 25 years as President and CEO of Student Transition and Recovery Program, Inc.

He is survived by his wife, Lisa Stancil. They married on November 5, 1993, in Conroe, Texas.

Charlie is also survived by his children, Marshall Stancil of Las Vegas and Damian Smith of Houston, brothers. Harold Lee Stancil (Wendy) of Sandy, Texas, and James Stancil, Major, USAF Ret., of Illinois, sister, Lorena Stancil of Pennsylvania, and six grandchildren. He is preceded his death by his parents and children Jennifer Puterbaugh and Doug and Cynthia Stancil.

Funeral will be held on October 29 at 2 p.m. at Cashner Funeral Home in Conroe, Texas. Burial will follow. Pallbearers will be the USN Honor Guard.
