Registration has started for the Boys & Girls Clubs of Bandera County’s flag football, tackle football and volleyball programs for youth at the clubs’ Teen Center at 715 Maple St. in Bandera.
Families can register youngsters for tackle football and volleyball through July 31, while registration for flag football will be open through Sept. 8
Tackle football is only open to 5th and 6th grade students and costs $160 per child.
Flag football activities are available to children in kindergarten through the sixth grades, and volleyball is available for youngsters in 2nd through 6th grades, with competition divided into classifications determined by grade levels.
The cost for both flag football and volleyball is $80 a child.
Boys & Girls Clubs officials said no scholarships for participants will be available this year, but anyone needing to set up payment plan can call the clubs’ Executive Director Amy Ouellette to discuss the details.

According to the current schedules, practice for tackle football will start Aug. 10 and the season will start Sept. 12, while volleyball practice will start Aug. 17, with the first game also on Sept. 12.
The flag football season is scheduled to run from Sept. 26 - Oct. 31.
