Special to the Bulletin
Medina Elementary School will hold a Meet the Teacher Day activity on Thursday, Sept. 3, from 4-6 p.m. in drive-through fashion in the drop off lane in front of the elementary school at One Bobcat Lane in Medina.
Students and parents are asked to stay in their cars as teachers say hello in an event designed to abide by safety protocols implemented to fight the COVID-19 pandemic.
Students in different grade levels are asked to come by for 15-minute intervals during the afternoon. If a family has students in different grades, the family should choose one of those times and let officials know that other grades are represented in the family so teachers covering those grades can be called out for a greeting.
Families also are asked to bring the school supplies their children will use this year, labelled with their students’ names, so they can be taken to the school and readied for the first day of classes on Tuesday, Sept. 8.
The schedule for the teacher greetings is 4-4:15 p.m. for pre-k 3; 4:15-4:30 p.m. for pre-k 4; 4:30-4:45 p.m. for kindergarten; 4:45- 5 p.m. for first grade; 5-5:15 p.m. for second grade; 5:15-5:30 p.m. for third grade; 5:30-5:45 p.m. for fourth grade; and 5:45-6 p.m. for fifth grade.
