Three area athletes have been named to the Southland Conference’s Academic All-Conference Track & Field team, information provided to the Bandera Bulletin earlier this month showed. The local athletes are Sandy Clarkin, a 2018 graduate of Bandera High School who competes at Sam Houston State University, Alia Henderson, another 2018 graduate of Bandera High who competes at the University of the Incarnate Word, and Austin Zirkel, a 2018 graduate of Medina High School who also competes at Sam Houston State University.
