I want to compliment and thank the Silver Sage Senior Center and the Texas Department of State Health Services (DSHS) for their combined efforts to bring and administer the COVID-19 vaccine to residents of Bandera County on Friday, February 5. Hearing the dose availability challenges faced by major cities in Texas, I despaired that we would be low on the list of counties to get the vaccine and was more than excited to get the call from DSHS scheduling our appointments.
