Commissioner praises volunteer help
On Saturday, Nov. 23, at one point, we had 22 people – all volunteers – helping to set up the Christmas display on the courthouse lawn. It was (cheerfully) a better support group than I expected when I asked for help in the Bandera Bulletin and the Bandera Prophet a month earlier.
I would like to thank volunteers from St. Christopher’s Church, the Bandera Business Association, the Knights of Columbus, the Bandera 4-H, Bandera juvenile probation, Bandera Chamber of Commerce, the Bandera Appraisal District, as well as an unknown number of residents from Lakehills and Pipe Creek, Medina and the Bandera communities.
I also would like to thank the Bandera Prophet and the Bandera Bulletin for their contributions.
A “thank you” to the Bandera County Commissioners’ Court for use of the courthouse lawn and a $750 grant, the Chamber of Commerce for a matching $750 and also the Bandera Business Association for $250.
Bandera County is a great community. Hopefully, this group and more of the community can come together and make this an annual tradition. Commissioners and judges come and go.
A sincere thank you for making this project fast, easy and enjoyable.
– Jack U. Moseley, Bandera County Precinct 3 Commissioner
