Kerrville’s Symphony of the Hills will start the new year with its Pops Concert: An American Songbook, to be held Saturday, January 9, 2021, at the Cailloux Theater, located at 901 Main in Kerrville. The program will be split into two performances at 6 p.m. and 8:30 p.m., with no wine reception. The symphony’s annual concert offers a look at what makes American music unique, with a lineup of American compositions including Bernstein’s “West Side Story”, Gershwin’s “Of Thee I Sing”, and a clarinet concerto performed by principal clarinetist Dr. Tamara Raatz.
