Last Saturday, the Bandera High School Academic Decathlon team, coached by Dan Zavorka, placed second in a virtual meet in which than 30 schools and 420 students competed. Bandera came within 220 points of first place, losing to ten-year champion Ohio. Winning students received medals, ribbons, and plaques. Three students received plaques for their overall high scores.
