Shindig hosts mini-bike races, hopes more in future

The Shindig venue in Bandera had a different roar as more than a score of mini bikes raced around the track for the first public race.

“We are seeing how this goes and hope very well,” yelled Shindig owner Josh Young over the sound of many engines.

Rick Watson with the Demon Mini Bikes in College Station said his group was using the Shindig for the race and hopes to come back.

“We would like to use the Shindig several times a year because it is in a good place, in the Hill Country and near San Antonio, and we can have entertainment,” Watson said.
