Sheriff reports arrest of murder suspect

The hunt for Freda Thomas is over.
The Bandera County Sheriff's office announced in a Facebook post early Monday evening that Freda Michelle Thomas had been taken into custody "without incident" earlier that day near Okmulgee, OK.
Thomas, charged in a Bandera County warrant with murder, was last seen with 88-year-old Robert Isaacks on Nov. 15, 2023.
Isaacks' body was found two days later in Crocket County, 180 miles away, in a tarp wrapped with duct tape.
On April 1, the sheriff's office announced that Thomas was in custody in Meixco but later retracted the announcement, citing erroneous information.
