Sheriff’s Arrests

Editor’s note – Readers are reminded that an arrest is not an indication of guilt. People are presumed innocent after an arrest until convicted.

Although reasonable care is taken, clerical errors may exist.

In the section where those individuals who are arrested and booked are listed, law enforcement entities are denoted by the following abbreviations: SO – Sheriff’s Office; BTM – Bandera Town Marshal; DPS – Texas Department of Public Safety; PCT – Precinct/Constable; TPW – Texas Parks and Wildlife.

During the week of Aug. 19-26, the following individuals were arrested:

Michael Cavazos, 38, of San Antonio, arrested Aug. 19 by SO on two, off-bond warrants, released Aug. 19; Reymundo Mendiola, 21, of Bandera, arrested Aug. 20 by SO for aggravated assault with bodily injury, released Aug. 21; Kevin Odell, 41, of San Antonio, arrested Aug. 21 by SO for unlawful possession of a firearm by a felon, released Aug. 21; Ernesto Flores, 34, of Bandera, arrested Aug. 22 by SO for a prohibited substance in correctional facility and on a court order; Casey Dawson, 56, of Bandera, arrested Aug. 22 by SO on two charges of aggravated assault with a deadly weapon; Aaron Hendon, 31, of Bandera, arrested Aug. 23 by DPS for criminal trespass, released Aug. 24; Dennis Giddings, 52, of Boerne, arrested Aug. 23 by SO for aggravated assault with a deadly weapon and on a warrant from the probation department; Tamy Shopar, 58, of Bandera, arrested Aug. 23 by SO on a warrant from an outside agency; Christopher Martin, 25, of Lakehills, arrested Aug. 24 by SO on a warrant; Connor Valenzuela, 20, of Comfort, arrested Aug. 25 by SO for public intoxication, possession of a controlled substance and tampering/fabricating evidence; Charles Howell, 20, of Katy, arrested Aug. 25 by SO on a warrant from an outside agency; Max Maxam, 53, of Bandera, arrested Aug. 26 by SO for evading arrest and on another violation.

As of Aug. 26, the Bandera County Jail had 62 inmates, including seven from Medina County, five from Real County and two from Frio County.
