School hosting fling, market

The Pipe Creek Christian School will hold their annual Spring Fling and Market Day on Saturday, April 23. at their location, 1990 FM 1283, with all profits benefitting the school.

The event will begin at 10 a.m. and run to 4 p.m. It is billed as a Family Fun Day, with a silent auction, raffles, food, music, vendors and a petting zoo.

The music will be provided by the Cross Hill Junction Band and visitors are invited to bring a chair and enjoy the festivities.

There is no admission fee and there is plenty of free parking. Potential vendors should call 830-510-3050 to reserve a spot.

The school opened its doors in August 2000, with one administrator and one teacher. At that time they offered classes for elementary and middle school grades.

Now they have several teachers, and classes through grade 12. In 2020, the school graduated the first student from high school.

Pipe Creek Christian School offers daily Bible study as well as academic courses, with non-denominational Christian curricula, for all grade levels. The tuition is affordable and includes after school care. It is accredited through the Association of Christian Schools International.

The school embraces Psalm 127:3, “Children are a gift from the Lord; they are a reward from Him.”

The school accepts registrations at all grade levels. The application can be found online at pipecreekchristianschool.org. The forms can be printed, filled out and dropped off at the school.

Pipe Creek Christian School encourages shoppers to visit New Life Retail, the thrift shop next door to the school, located at 1990 FM 1283. The store’s proceeds go to support the school.
