The Bandera County Republican Women met at the Silver Sage June 1 to hear Mayra Flores, Senior Fellow of the Texas Public Policy Foundation and the first Mexican born Congresswoman in the U.S. House of Representatives speak. Also in attendance was Mary Jane Avery, SREC member and Gail Teegarden, SD 24 District Director of the TFRW.Flores was raised in Burgos, Tamaulipas, Mexico and came to Texas at age six.
