Together With Hill Country Veterans is a newly formed nonprofit organization that has developed a program aimed at reducing the suicide rate among veterans in the Texas Hill Country area. The program utilizes successful practices established by other organizations in combating high suicide rates among veterans, including enhanced suicide prevention training, improved communications between organizations serving veterans and a focus on programs that help veterans feel connected. The organization also has developed an online suicide prevention training session that organizations can access at no cost.
