The Medina Community Library will be closed on Monday, Nov. 11, in honor of Veterans Day, but will host a book sale every day except that Monday and on Sundays when the library is regularly closed through Nov. 27.

The sale titled the Thankful for You Book Sale is offering excess, outdated and specially donated books, DVDs and music albums to the public for low, low prices. Magazines and kid’s books will be available for a dime, softcover books for a quarter, hardcover books for 50 cents and audio books or DVDs for 75 cents at the sale.

Also at the library, the Crockpot/Instapot Club will meet on Thursday, Nov. 7, to get Crockpot recipes and tips out to the cooking public, and a crafts and bingo activity will be held the same day, from 3:30 – 5 p.m.

The Crockpot group will meet from 1-2 p.m. Anyone wanting recipes or needing other questions answered can call the library at 830-589-2825.

A library staff member also will be available on Thursday, Nov. 7, beginning at 10:30 a.m. to help patrons download e-books on a smartphone, computer or some other digital device.

On Tuesday, Nov. 12, the Medina Genealogy and Historical Society will meet at the library at 10:15 a.m., and the Medina Book Club will meet at 2:30 p.m.
