The Lakehills Area Library is taking part in the Hill Country Night Sky Month celebration during October with a special rock painting program for youngsters and also is one of the sites where the public can pick up an application for the quilt block contest that the Bandera County Friends of the Night Sky is sponsoring. The library, located at 7200 FM 1283 in Lakehills, has rock painting kits that it will hand out to youngsters wanting to participate in the celebration.
