Christian Job Corps of Kendall-Bandera Counties will host a fundraiser on Thursday, September 21, at the First United Methodist Church in Boerne.

The event is dubbed “Women of Excellence, Women of Purpose.”

The event’s doors will open at 11 a.m.

The luncheon will feature guest speaker Ann Barham, a local Boerne businesswoman and CJC volunteer instructor, who will present her message titled “From Pain to Purpose.”

Several women who have successfully completed the highly acclaimed “Prepped for Life” Program will also share their stories of success.

In addition to the program, the fundraiser will include raffle gift baskets and door prizes. Tickets for the fundraiser will go on sale on July 17th, with individual tickets priced at $75.

Various sponsorship options, including Event, Table, and Program Sponsorships ranging from $1,500 to $300, are also available.

Registration for the event will close on September 8, 2023.

To register, visit cjcboerne. org/luncheon.

For those interested in supporting CJC programs and promoting their business at the fundraiser, they can contact Executive Director Carla O’Dell at Carla@ cjcboerne.org or call 830-423-3022.

CJC’s “Job Prepped for Life” Program aims to empower women in Kendall and Bandera counties by helping them make better life choices and start anew.

The program provides support to women who have experienced past or present hardships by focusing on their strengths, identifying their talents, and enhancing their job skills, ultimately guiding them towards a fulfilling path.

CJC also offers an Inmate “Prepped for Life” Program that assists inmates in Kendall and Bandera County Jails in making positive life choices and transforming their behavior.

Classes are available to both male and female inmates, with the ultimate goal of helping them become healthier, happier, and more productive individuals.
