The Bandera High School (BHS) Academic Decathlon team claimed the top spot in national competition by winning the Gold in the Small School Division V for 2021. The BHS team won the silver medal in 2019 and was set to go for the Gold in 2020 until the pandemic cancelled the competition. This year, the team got the chance to compete for top honors during the online competition on April 28, 29, and 30.
