Emergency response devices subject of talk

Posted in:

A representative from Alamo Area Council of Governments will be at Silver Sage center on Oct. 15 to talk about Emergency Response System devices.

The AACOG representative will talk about the types of emergency response devices that are available, what people need to do to get a response system device and how it will be set up to assure that the needs of the customer are met.

It is a free workshop that will be held at the center, 803 Buck Creek Dr. in Bandera, beginning at 1 p.m.

Registration is not required, but organizers asked those planning to attend to call 830-796-4969 to help make sure enough space and resources are set aside for the session.

The center also announced that it will host another concert by the band LEVIN on Oct. 25 in the Great Room.

The band, which features Silver Sage Director Art Crawford, his wife Lisa Crawford and a four, accomplished Austin-area musicians, creates a magical night of entertainment while also informing guests about the needs of the aging population in Bandera County and how they can help the center address those needs.

Doors to the concert will open at 6 p.m., and music will start an hour later. It is a free event, but donations will be accepted.

Amy Dee Hawley is the activities and events coordinator at the Silver Sage.
