The Faith and Freedom Club of Medina welcomed Jamie Cole and her service dog, Shay, to their monthly meeting. Jamie and Shay presented a talk on Veterans Assistance Dogs of Texas to the club members.The VA Dogs take shelter rescues and trains them to be service dogs for veterans. Canine candidates, primarily obtained from shelters and rescue groups, are carefully evaluated for the program. Their training takes place at the Hill Country Dog Center on Bear Creek Road.
