Editor’s Note: The following is an election announcement for a local candidate. The Bulletin grants local candidates an election announcement free of charge, with all following election materials charged an ad fee.

As we have seen after the last Texas legislative special session, the Republican party has once again drawn gerrymandered maps that do not represent the growth that Texas has shown so far. This has shown the Republican party will do anything to suppress the vote and keep Texas from turning blue.

When I started on the journey to run for congress, I was aiming to bring change and unity to Texas Congressional District 35. Division has reigned for too long! Republicans seem want to keep it that way. Congressman Roy has

Congressman Roy has been one of the leaders of this movement to suppress the vote and keep Americans divided. He has said, "We believe in justice.” There are old sayings in Texas about 'find all the rope in Texas and get a tall oak tree,’ when referring to lynching. Congressmen Roy has refused to change the name of a federal building named after a Klansman. Congressman Roy has also defended pharmaceutical companies by stating, "I'm really glad they make big profits, and I hope they make a lot more!" Congressman Roy even introduced a bill to withhold federal funds from any schools that teach critical race theory!

This is not a man we want in congress representing the wonderful people of congressional district 21.

He has shown us in the past that he will do whatever it takes to keep us divided. That is why I am making the switch to run in Congressional District 21. Congressman Roy has no place representing the citizens of Congressional District 21 and surely has no business voting on federal laws affecting the county.

I would like to thank everyone for the tremendous support I have received in Congressional District 35, but I know with the number of exceptional Democratic candidates running in Congressional District 35 that no matter who wins, the district will be in good hands. The goal is to elect more Democrats to Congress, not fight among each other. I will bring the same fight and effort I had in District 35 to District 21. I will give everything I have to provide Texas Congressional 21 the representation they deserve.
