The Major James Kerr Chapter of the National Society Daughters of the American Revolution (DAR) held their annual Christmas Silver Tea, where members and guests celebrated special member anniversaries and presented chapter and community awards.December 6’s event was held at Schreiner University’s Cailloux Campus Activity Center Ballroom, where a traditional tea with a selection of sandwiches, scones, jams and clotted cream was served and each table was adorned with a centerpiece of Poinsettias atop a sparkling silver charger.Musical entertainment was provided by Carrie Overby and Nancy Blanchard, singers known as The Silver Belles.
