The Bandera County Democratic Club met recently for a discussion via Zoom on a number of upcoming projects and activities. In honor of Black History Month, special invited guest Rebecca Norton, Executive Director of Bandera’s Frontier Times Museum, spoke to the club about the historic Tyron-Hendrick-Arnold Cemetery, formerly the “Colored Burial Ground” located off of Old Medina Highway. The Bandera Historical Commission is considering a further restoration and beautification of this resting place for an estimated 30 individuals of ages ranging from newborns to the elderly.
