On Dec. 2, a story ran on page five with the headline “Warriors Heart names new director,” and stated Teddy Lanier had been named the new executive director. Lanier was named executive director of the Warriors Heart Foundation, which is separate from Warriors Heart.
Warriors Heart Foundation is a non-profit that accepts deductible donations to be used primarily to provide hardship scholarships to warriors who need financial help to cover costs of treatment.
Warriors Heart is run separately as a business entity. It offers treatment to active-duty military, veterans, first responders and EMTs/paramedics facing addiction, PTSD, mild traumatic brain injuries and other co-occurring issues in a private, 60-bed facility on a 543-acre ranch.
