The U.S. Department of Agriculture Coronavirus Food Assistance Program provides financial assistance to farmers and ranchers who have suffered a five-percent-or-greater price decline or who had losses due to market supply chain disruptions due to COVID-19 and still face significant market costs, Bandera County Farm Bureau officials said in a recent news release.
The bureau urges eligible farmers and ranchers to apply for assistance from a program that was announced by U.S. Secretary of Agriculture Sonny Perdue in mid-April, since the department is still accepting applications.
