Conference registration closes August 25

On Saturday, September 11th, the Texas AgriLife Extension Service will be hosting their annual Hill Country Professional Child Care Providers Conference at the Gillespie County Extension Office located at 38 Business Ct. in Fredericksburg, Texas

This conference will start at 8:00 a.m. and end at 1:30 p.m.

The theme this year will be “Culture and Diversity of Early Childhood Programs,”

This year’s keynote speaker will be ReShaun Webb, CEO of Rainbow Institute of Childcare Education.

Webb will speak about ways to incorporate culture and diversity into classrooms and how to push inclusion.

The conference’s topics will include Working with Millennials, SIDS, Wondrous Outdoor Learning Environments, and Minimum Standards Updates.

In these concurrent sessions, attendees will discuss in detail hiring and working with millennials, keeping babies safe while in their cribs, learn about the best practices that promote physical activity outdoors, an overview of new standards and changes in licensing.

Registration cost is $50 if postmarked by August 25, and $75 if late.

The registration fee includes lunch, refreshments, five clock hours-training credit and workshop materials.

For an additional $10 per person, .5 CEU hours will be available (this payment should be brought to the event).
