The Christian Women’s Job Corps is taking applications for its next training session, which will run from Sept. 1 through Nov. 19, officials said. Applications for the classes are due by Friday, Aug. 15. The job corps is free training available to adult women that provides “a safe, Christ-centered environment that encourages spiritual, professional and personal growth,” according to the job corps’ mission statement. The program has a graduation ceremony for this year’s class planned for Nov. 20. Volunteers, as well as teachers, sponsors and mentors are always needed.
