BISD offers flu-fighting tips

The Bandera Independent School District issued tips to families in an online report last month that were aimed at keeping youngsters healthy and preventing the spread of the cold and flu during the ongoing flu season. The advisory encouraged students to: Stay at home if they are sick, meaning they have a fever of 100 degrees or more; Return to school when they are fever free for 24 hours without the assistance of medication that suppresses fever; Cough or sneeze into a tissue or into the upper sleeves of their shirt, not into their hands; Wash their hands frequently. ...
