Bandera Independent School District (BISD), announced it has extended the classroom into several of its buses, with the addition of recently installed Wi-Fi routers.
The routers, purchased using funds from a Technology Lending Grant. Technology Lending Grant awards competitive grants to local education agencies to create a technology lending program.
With the grant, Bandera will be able to provide extended internet access to students who would otherwise not have access to digital learning materials while off campus.
Twelve routes, covering areas from Lakehills through Bandera to Tarpley, as well as north towards Kerrville, have received routers.
