BEC boosts capital credit payments

The Bandera Electric Cooperative Board of Directors has recently approved a 67% increase in capital credit payments to the membership, which should put more money in its members’ pockets. The amount being paid out will increase from $1.5 million to $2.5 million systemwide, in addition to the $200,000 paid out to estates and disconnected accounts, BEC said in an Aug. 4 news release. Capital credits represent each member’s ownership of the cooperative.
