Workforce Solutions Alamo released data last month indicating that the Bandera County unemployment rate decreased to 5.9 in July, lower than the 6.4 rate reported in June, after adjustments from the Bureau of Labor Statistics.
Bandera County’s unemployment rate registered lower than the overall jobless rate of 7.8% for the Workforce Solutions Alamo area. That area includes Bandera and 12 other counties.
McMullen County registered the lowest unemployment rate among the Alamo area counties at 2.9% in July, while Atascosa County had the highest rate among the area counties at 9.4%.
