Arson suspected in mobile home fire

A fire that destroyed a mobile home in the 1700 block of Broad Oak Drive in the Polly Peak area in the early morning hours on Saturday, April 11, is being investigated as arson, Bandera County Fire Marshal John Stith said this week. He said circumstances associated with the blaze, which was reported at about 4 a.m. on Saturday, convinced him it was a case of arson. The mobile home was unoccupied, and firefighters from Bandera Fire and Rescue and the Pipe Creek Volunteer Fire Department found the residence engulfed in flames when they arrived.
