Arms of Hope receives donation

Bandera Electric Cooperative (BEC) recently donated $3,000 to Arms of Hope, a nonprofit Christian care organization formerly known as The Medina Children’s Home that assists children and single-mother families in need. “This is the first Christmas for some of our kids,” said Kim Boatman, Arms of Hope residential case manager. “It’s such a blessing to have friends and donors that support our kids and provide them with a magical Christmas experience.” Arms of Hope does not receive federal or state grants and relies solely on support from individuals, civic groups, churches, and businesses for funding and volunteers.
