Good news comes from the Lakehills Area Library. The library has worked out an agreement with Ancestry.com to provide its genealogy service for free to card-carrying library members from the library’s website during July and August. Previously the Ancestry site could only be accessed from the library itself, and the Genealogy Group paid the annual fee so the public could use that for family tree research. The fee is due soon, and the Genealogy Group is unable to host its annual fundraiser to pay the fee.
