The Bandera High School Academic Decathlon team maintained its state small school title for the third year in a row and will represent Texas at the national Academic Decathlon competition in late April as its D4 entrant. With an all-time high score of 45,184 points, the Bandera team earned 40 subject medals, six overall high scoring medals and dominated the super quiz competition. Altogether, the team earned $20,750 in scholarships. Additionally, students receive medals and scholarship money if they were among the top five individuals in state overall within their category.
