4-H starts new year

The Bandera County 4-H will host their 2021- 2022 KickOff on Tuesday, August 31 at Mansfield Park’s show barn from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m.

Attendees will have the opportunity to enroll in 4-H, learn about different opportunities the group offers and get answers to any questions they may have.

Bandera County 4-H members can attend summer camps, participate in workshops, compete in contest, develop leadership and public speaking skills compete for scholarships and more.

Youth are eligible to participate if they are in third grade and eight years of age by August 31, 2021.

Current membership fee is $25 if paid by October 31, and that fee increases to $30 starting November 1.

Members and volunteers are required to re-enroll each yewar.
